Bloober Team Teases ‘Impossible’ Nintendo Exclusive Amid New Xbox Game Pass Deals

Bloober Team, the Polish studio recently celebrated for their work on the Silent Hill 2 remake, has shifted its focus towards a mysterious new project tailored specifically for Nintendo’s upcoming hardware. While the developer has already been active on the Switch 2 with titles like Cronos: The New Dawn and Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition, this latest undertaking, currently known as Project M, appears to be something altogether more specialised. According to CEO Piotr Babieno, the game is being designed in such a way that it simply wouldn’t function on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox platforms.

A bold vision for the Switch 2

Details regarding Project M have been kept strictly under wraps since its initial confirmation in the summer of 2025, but Babieno suggests that the wait for more concrete information is nearly over. The project is being developed in collaboration with some of the world’s most proficient Nintendo-platform specialists, and despite having a notably smaller budget than some of the studio’s recent high-profile releases, its creative ambitions remain high. The studio head has spoken warmly of the “incredible” support and trust provided by Nintendo, which has been instrumental in bringing this specific vision to life.

Babieno has teased a “bold twist” for the game—a concept he claims has never been explored in the horror genre before. Whilst he admitted it is difficult to keep the secret any longer, he noted that the timing isn’t quite right for a full reveal. Interestingly, fans of classic atmosphere-heavy titles like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and even the cult-hit Eternal Darkness are expected to find the new project familiar, yet entirely distinct. This specific creative direction is apparently so tied to Nintendo’s unique hardware capabilities that it remains the only viable home for the title.

Xbox Game Pass offers competitive value for subscribers

As the industry looks forward to these bespoke Nintendo experiences, Microsoft continues to bolster its own ecosystem with enticing offers for its subscription service. Currently, players can pick up a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for €34.49. This provides access to a massive library of over 100 games, ranging from major AAA blockbusters to critically acclaimed indie gems across every conceivable genre.

One of the primary draws of the service remains the ability to play new Xbox exclusive titles from the very day of their release. Beyond the immediate library, subscribers also benefit from a 20% discount when purchasing Xbox One games featured in the current catalogue, alongside a 10% reduction on all associated game add-ons. For those looking to maximise their gaming hours without a heavy upfront investment, it remains a robust option in the current market.
