The growing integration of artificial intelligence into business culture is reshaping how companies manage talent. According to market research, 61% of HR leaders plan to adopt AI in 2025 to screen and score CVs. From 10 to 12 June, the DES – Digital Enterprise Show 2025, Europe’s premier event on exponential technologies, will showcase how AI and other digital tools are transforming recruitment strategies and enhancing team development.
Real-World Examples in Focus
This international event, hosted in Málaga, will include a dedicated forum on human resources, underlining the strategic role that Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) now play in modern organisations. A key highlight will be the evolving collaboration between CHROs and CEOs to align organisational goals with human-centred values. One standout case will be presented by Uriach, a well-known personal care brand. CEO Oriol Segarra and Head of People & Culture David Cantallops will share their experience in building a forward-thinking, agile, and employee-focused company.
The role of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in promoting responsible digital transformation within corporate structures will also be discussed. Raúl Prieto, IT Director and Head of Development & Tech Transformation at Mapfre, and Juan Díaz-Andreu from the executive search firm Alexander Hughes Iberia, will examine how this role is evolving in response to workforce needs and the growing importance of employee digital experience. Meanwhile, Javier San Juan, former president of L’Oréal in Latin America, will reflect on leadership, his career milestones, and the critical role of senior executives in the tech landscape.
AI Meets Human Values
The rapid and often unexpected rise of artificial intelligence across businesses and public administrations is revolutionising workflows and organisational frameworks. This shift raises an important question: What is the future role of humans in this AI-driven landscape? To address this, DES2025 will welcome Óscar Corominas, a learning facilitator in MIT Professional Education’s “Leadership in Innovation” programme. He will discuss how to strike a balance between technology and empathy to enrich corporate culture, nurture talent, and build more meaningful connections in the AI era.
At the same time, new roles are emerging alongside intelligent tools. Rosa Montero, Head of Digital HR at Airbus Defence & Space, and Lucía Flecha, Director of Digital Transformation at Ferrovial, will delve into the most in-demand and high-potential professional profiles today. They will also explore the main challenges facing AI talent development in Spain. Additionally, the forum will tackle the recruitment and management of cybersecurity specialists, with insights from David González, SISO at Coren, and other leading experts.
Training Tomorrow’s Workforce
Educational institutions responsible for shaping future talent are also rising to the challenge of equipping students with AI-related skills. Bella Palomo and Juan Salvador Victoria, Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Málaga, alongside Francisco García, Emeritus Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, will present how exponential technologies are being embedded into academic programmes and how new models such as remote work are being integrated.
Moreover, DES2025 will feature Quantum Spain, a national initiative aimed at building a quantum computing ecosystem. The project includes a training programme for professionals, combining masterclasses, seminars, and e-learning tools. Javier Mas, Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, will lead a session to outline the educational content and objectives of the initiative.
As AI continues to evolve, so too must the human element within organisations. DES2025 promises to be a key platform for examining how technology and humanity can grow together in the workplace of tomorrow.
